India’s Inland Water Transport (IWT) sector is witnessing a strategic transformation. The 197th Board Meeting of IWAI (Inland Waterways Authority of India) approved crucial projects worth ₹1,500+ Cr, including a comprehensive development plan for NW-2 (Brahmaputra), a DPR for extending NW-64 (Mahanadi), and navigation infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir.

These developments present long-term opportunities for logistics, infrastructure, and water management companies, especially in the North-East, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and J&K.
